Hi, my name is Justin. My fascination with foreign language, which lead to working in language education, started young when I was obsessed with runes and hieroglyphs as a young kid. I took Japanese courses offered by my High School and eventually ended up working as a camp counselor/teacher/lifeguard for Mori no Ike, Concordia Language Villages' Japanese immersion summer program with one month and two week tracks. We were very much a song and dance and be outside playing games to learn language sort of institution but the Japanese language camp kids aren't always really strongly the outdoor type. :-p
I taught there for three summers for a total of probably seven months.
I then had an opportunity to go teach law at Southwest University of Political Science and Law for a year directly after taking the Bar examination so I came to Chongqing China and fell in love with the place and the language. I taught at Owen over the holiday break so that was my first real introduction to pure English teaching and that leads us to today.
