I do believe that in order to organize a class we do need to first set up a proper environment (other pupils drawings, funny images, numbers or simply and pictures of the pupils), we have to let the kids think that they didn't actually leave their own home, they have to feel safe, this is the fundamental part to start the process of learning. The perfect class should then cover all the essential parts:
1) FUN: Through competitive and inspring games that would get the kids active. 2) CREATIVITY: Every kid has own feelings and emotions, we can let them express their interior potential through arts, for example. 3) SAFETY: safe environment for the children, where the kids can run and play without any possible danger. 4) USE OF ENGLISH TO INTERACT WITH THE TEACHER AND THE OTHER PUPILS: we want the kids to fully get into a new language environment.
To make a class special I would use PUPPETS, according to my experience I noticed incredible results using puppets, for adults and kids. Another idea could to organize a class with Halloween costumes and think of some fun activities where you get the kids to interact with each other.

Alex this has really made me think about the way we need to shape our classrooms to be more 'Home Like' and welcoming! However I would love to see a activity created by yourself not simply suggesting tools to be used, could you be more specific about your activity and how it would run? Also can you link this activity and its stages to specific principles as outlined by Moon.
