Hello everybody,
my carreer until now has been focussed on dancing. I have done my Ballet pre education in the Netherlands with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) from 2004 till 2008 in English. I got my Grade 5, Intermediate Foundation and Intermediate diploma's from the RAD. In 2008 I audition for Fontys School for Arts Dance Academy in the Netherlands and got 1 year early in accepted on talent. I started studying Jazz/Urban Performing Artist in 2008 but focussed also on Contemporary performing artist. I wanted to be allround educated. Sadly I could not graduate in 2 styles but did do both of the studies. My study was not focussed on teaching but I did learn the basic tools in my study and teached in my internship and during my study. In my study I learned Dance history, Music history, Music education, didactics, anatomy and prevention of injuries. Those subjects are connected to teaching. Next to this I studied dance in the styles Ballet, Jazz, Urban (Streetdance/Hiphop/Locking), Contemporary, Cunningham, Graham, Bollywood, Dance expression and a minor in non western stage arts. I did a early intership in my 3th year with Belgium Choreographer Laurent Flament for September 2010 till March 2011. In my 4th year for August 2011 till May 2012 I did my regular intership at The International Dance Theater and did 2 productions. 'With Hands and Feet' was a childrens production connected with an educational program. We traveled all around The Netherlands, inviting lower and high schools to theaters and also visited schools for the education program. This included mostly 'normal' schools but also 'special' schools. Before they watched the show the students got introduced to the subjects and ways to watch the dance performance. After the show the education program started (sometimes in the theater or) in the schools. Basically it was about how to watch dance/arts, what is your personal conception, cultural education, musicality and creating your own opinion/vision on dance art and art in general. The second production I did was 'Pure Barbarous' for adults, the 50 years anniversary show of IDT. During my internship I found out I really liked dance education and working with children. Showing them a different vision and approach to arts and learning. July 2013 I graduated as a Jazz/Urban performing Artist and started working as a freelance dancer and dance teacher. During my dance academy time I already started teaching children Jazz and Streetdance dance classes. From 2012 till 2014. In the summer of 2013 I worked my first time abroad in Greece as a dancer for 3 months. After this I mostly worked as a freelance performing dancer. In Oktober 2015 I helpt starting a dance department in a gym and teach children and adults. This included promotion and teaching. Around January 2016 I got in contact with China Plus who introduced me to I2. And decided to take a new opportunity in dance teaching and moved here in June 2016. I love to share my passion for dance with children and adults. Specially the different approach of learning intrigues me. Dance is not only physicly but also mentally, emotionally and artisticly. And the learning proces never ends. Im exited to learn about language teaching, it's new for me. And I am shore it will bring new deepening for me as a teacher.
Im sorry for my spelling mistakes, as most of you know I am dyslexic. This is not a excuse but just a fact.
